Plasticnut’s Top 10 Worst Horror Movies

The Nun is the fifth film in the Conjuring franchise. Now, I do enjoy this film! It has great set pieces and a fantastic score! The atmosphere was creepy and kept you on the edge of your seat. This film lacks any creativity though! The scares are always predictable and the legend of Valak felt like it was made in 10 minutes. The Conjuring was always known for its story, characters and new ways to scare the viewer, but The Nun lacks all of that.

Terrifier is a 2018 horror film about a killer clown. This film is loved by many, but I thought of it as pointless and confusing. The film has a hard time picking who the protagonist is and we end up getting two but in different parts of the film. The whole lure of the clown was weird and confusing and it was a waste of time. The whole film is just a cat and mouse chase between the characters and it can get boring. The film does have great gore effects though! Other than that, Terrifier is a pointless film that tries to be something that it can’t be.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This film has nothing going for it! It is so bad and so poorly directed! This film has the most generic and hateable protagonist in any film. Just because a horror film has blood and gore doesn’t make it good in any way! The Chainsaw franchise is not known for amazing storytelling, but this fucking has the most shit story and dialogue that it is almost unwatchable! The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a bloody mess.

A Quiet Place is such a disappointment! I left feeling cheated and so disappointed! This was just another film with a cool concept that is fucking ruined with aliens! It’s like all Hollywood could think of is just aliens! It couldn’t be another dimensional being or a man made hybrid monster, it had to be fucking aliens! This film has so many plot holes and the characters are just plain stupid! Like the fucking five year old who has been living in this new world his whole life and knows that he should be quiet, just stands there and plays his loud ass toy out of nowhere! Like why!? The creature design is awful, it literally is a fucking ripoff of the Demogrogan from Stranger Things! What pisses me off the most is that this film got nominated for an Oscar for sound design, even though half the film is fucking quiet! It was just a massive disappointment!

As Above, So Below is the worst found footage horror film ever made! It has some of the most stupid and forgettable characters ever! The found footage looks like it was done on a fucking android and is hard to see what is going on half the time! The fucking visuals look like like they went to a Party City and bought everything on clearance! It isn’t scary and it is fucking horrible to even look at! This film has the production budget of a fan made film on youtube!

This film shouldn’t even be considered as a horror film! This film is such a disappointment to the Universal classic and should have never been made to begin with! The acting is mediocre and the visuals are ugly as shit! This film felt like Hot Topic was the production company! This film was purely made for edgy emo people who want to see a screen dark half the time! The lighting is so dog shit that it makes the film so ugly to look at! This film is boring, predictable and downright cringy!

The Green Inferno is just downright awful! The story, acting, visuals, sound design and cinematography are dogshit! This film has some of the most disgusting acting I have ever seen! The acting is so awkward and forced that I thought they picked these people off the street! The cinematography is also horrendous and so ugly! The film tries to be serious but with such laughable acting and production it makes this film one of the worst films ever made!

The Curse of La Llorona feels like a joke. This film has some of the most awful storytelling in film history! The makeup is shit, the story isn’t there and the acting is awful! The whole legend of La Llorona is done so fast and sloppy that character feels lifeless and not scary! The characters make some of the most stupid decisions in cinema and the scares are so predictable! The conflict is resolved so fast and so poorly that it feels like the script for this movie was made in 10 minutes! This film was just a giant disappointment!

Rings was a massive disappointment for me! I was a huge fan of the first Ring and liked the second film well enough. This film is the definition of bad! There is no story, the acting is dog shit and the ending is forgettable! This film takes everything  great about the first film and doubles down on it! This film is purely a joke, a bad joke! You have already seen this story before in other films, the only difference is that it has the Ring franchise slapped on it! We have stupid mythology about Samara and it all feels pointless at the end! Just dont watch this film.

Slenderman is the worst horror film ever made! This film is so fucking pointless, no one asked for it! This film has the worst teenage characters ever and the most disgusting acting I have ever seen! The whole reason Slenderman shows up is because they play a fucking video! The straight up took that from the The Ring! Slenderman looks so fucking bad as well, the fucking design changes in each scene he’s in! The film is just awful and I really do not think this film had any talent behind it! I don’t really need to say much, just watch the film. You’ll regret it.
