The Perfection is a 2019 Netflix original horror thriller starring Allison Williams and Logan Browning. It is directed by Richard Shepard who has directed episodes from the series Girls and The Twilight Zone. This will be a non spoiler review because it is a film to go into without any spoilers. Right off the bat, the trailer gives nothing away which is great! When you watch the trailer and then the actual film, you are in for a treat! This film has amazing performances from everyone, but Logan Browning hits it out of the ballpark! There is a part of this movie where Logan is just so into what’s going that it’s amazing to watch! The cinematography is gorgeous in some shots and the sound design is phenomenal! The score is also memorable. The entire film has this creepy aura that carries throughout the story. You really do not know what’s going on in the entire film until the end because there are so many twists and turns. It is a refreshing original concept with original characters. The only problem I had with this film was the ending. Now, it was not a horrible ending but it kind of ruined the whole sinister feel of the film. The film started off strong and carried through until the end. In the end, The Perfection is a great horror thriller with great complex characters with a beautiful look and sound, but is a little disappointing with its different toned ending.
